NRHyA - National Reining Horse Youth Association

The Reining Horse Sports Foundation (RHSF) is committed to providing leadership and scholarship opportunities to enable youth to excel in their future careers and competition. In 2008, the RHSF offered five $1,000 Academic and Need-based scholarships to NRHA members. The following five young reiners were selected as this year’s recipients:

Brandon Boyle of Ione, California

Attending: University of California Santa Barbara
Major: Biology

Allison Byrd of Murfreesboro, Arkansas

Attending: Baylor University
Major: Business Marketing

Ashley Fuchs of Canfield, Ohio

Attending: University of Akron
Major: Biology, Pre-Med

Helen Lauth of Eyota, Minnesota

Attending: South Dakota State University
Major: General Studies, Biology

RHSF Scholarships are offered each year to students who have been members of NRHA for at least two years. Applicants must also be a senior in high school pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 2 or 4 year institution, trade or technical school. 2009 Scholarship applications will be due in late spring of 2009.
