The National Reining Horse Youth Association (NRHyA) is the youth division of NRHA and a program of the Reining Horse Foundation. Created for youth reiners who want to compete with purpose, NRHyA connects young members to meaningful opportunities inside and outside the arena.

Membership provides access to:

NRHA youth classes and championships
Scholarships that can be earned throughout school years and even post high school
Leadership opportunities in affiliate, regional and national roles
Educational clinics and professional mentorship
Opportunities for personal growth through public speaking, art and photography contests, and the Varsity Reining Club
A clear pathway from youth competition to non-pro and professional levels

Welcome, IEA Western Members

Through a new collaboration between NRHA and the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA), NRHA Professionals are conducting reining clinics at IEA Western Regional Finals across the country in 2026.

These demonstrations highlight:

Correct execution of NRHA patterns
What judges evaluate in reining competition
Application of skills in a catch-ride format
Opportunities available through NRHyA
